Michelle M Chu Interiors is a high-end interior design studio creating timeless, highly considered homes for private clients across Carmel, Pebble Beach and Monterey. The studio came to us for a new logo and website that would position it confidently with high-net-worth clients, tell the story behind their work, and attract inquiries from clients ready to invest in its approach.
The visual identity is refined and draws inspiration from architectural minimalism, natural materials and quiet luxury. Drawing on stone, plaster and linen, we refined the studio’s original colors into a warmer, more atmospheric palette: a soft charcoal in place of stark black, a canvas off-white in place of bright white, and taupes and muted browns for warmth. The type system carries subtle humanistic qualities and the visual world is atmospheric and detail led. Imagery leads, type supports and a mark deeply connected to Michelles heritage adds a personal signature that makes the identity unmistakably hers.

Digital Experience
Designed to feel like a digital gallery, the website is image-led and calm, with full-width photography, offset compositions and generous white space. Soft fades, parallax and a horizontal portfolio scroll add gentle movement.

The Mark
The brandmark takes its bird from the textiles of Michelle’s grandmother’s silk farm, simplified to suit the studio’s restrained aesthetic. It is drawn with the irregular line weights and uneven edges of brush and calligraphy work, and set within a border inspired by the seal and stamp styles of vintage Chinese illustration. The mark brings Michelle’s heritage into the identity quietly.
